The Foundation for Purposeful Living

Mission

The mission of the Foundation for Purposeful Living is to stimulate, encourage, support and sustain endeavors that contribute to: (a) the expansion of human consciousness; (b) the proactive, creative and practical expression of human and spiritual goodwill; and (c) the manifestation of innate human goodness, all for the purpose of furthering personal and planetary transformation.

Focus

To accomplish this mission, FPL makes a few grants in support of charitable endeavors that strengthen, stimulate, encourage and support:

a) Diverse and innovative forms of group work—service endeavors that exemplify the following qualities and characteristics:

  • Volunteer-based or -driven
  • Group- or community-centered
  • Focused on practical or applied service (putting love into action)
  • Entrepreneurial
  • Innovative and experimental.

b) Educational endeavors that embody the values and aspirations implied by the mission statement and could include:

  • Parenting education and efforts to aid in the revelation of innate goodness as a human quality in both parents and children
  • Experiential learning or applied education designed to help people clarify their own sense of meaning and purpose and to develop skills and the means to achieve them
  • Sources of inspiration that offer new approaches to education.

c) Efforts to document, demonstrate and disseminate innovative, inspirational and effective practices in the fields of voluntary service, education, human organization and human relations that contribute to personal and planetary transformation.

d) Scientific research that contributes to a greater understanding of human consciousness and its relationship to personal and planetary transformation.

Projects may be based within the United States or abroad. Recipients of grants from the Foundation for Purposeful Living are groups or individuals that are motivated by selfless service and altruism. The Foundation plans to assist those whose actions and services are practical and inclusive. They are a source of inspiration and work to demonstrate goodwill and respond to clearly identified needs.
